From Womb to World

My friend Natalie is an amazing photographer! She does such a great job at capturing the moment. You can check out some of her work here. She took these maternity shots the week that I went into labor with Talon and the pictures of him are when he was 10 days old. I love them. Thank you Natalie!!

What do boys wear to church??

Girls are so incredibly easy to dress-up! They have so many cute dresses and hair accessories that I never once had an issue with what to put them in for church. Talon has proved to be more difficult! Here is one of two church outfits that he hasd! He actually has a few more now because I went shopping at the Outlet Mall yesterday with some friends! I was on the hunt for cute little manly dress-ups for my baby boy! I came home with some great outfits and paid hardly anything for them! Gotta love that!

Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens

There are a few things in my life that instantly bring back happy memories and much joy. Two of my most favorite experiences as a little girl are camping and Busch Gardens. I loved (and still do) spending time with my family and we did these things every year. I have been going to Busch Gardens as long as I can remember! However...Howl-O-Scream is new to me because they started doing it 10 years ago...and I was away at college during the Fall. In the end of September and all of October, Busch Gardens is turned into a "Halloween Lovers" dream! There are haunted houses, mazes, shows, decorations, etc. It is so much fun! They have creatures hiding in bushes that jump out at people and talking skeletons.

It takes us about 45 minutes to drive to Busch Gardens but it was so crowded that it took us another hour just to get off the freeway and into parking! I think that the park actually reached maximum capacity!! We went with my cousin Markus and his sweet wife Emily. They also have 3 children so we were mostly there for the kiddos. They had so much fun and were really well behaved even though they hadn't napped and were up so late. Here are some pictures of our most wonderful day!
This was a fantastic show! My kids loved all of the dancing and costumes. The werewolf was a little freaky...and we were in the front row...but the kids didn't seem to mind. Hailey just kept talking about his costume...as if to make sure that it really was a costume.
Isabella chillin' in the stroller! She was enjoying a yummy chocolate chip cookie!

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm nursing Talon which is kind of a pain to do when everyone is on the go! John and the girls went off to play while I fed the baby!
Check out these scary people! They were everywhere around the park!
We had one pass that would get the four adults to the beginning of one ride without having to wait in line. Thank goodness for that because the lines were insane. We decided to go on the Griffon...oh so fun! Hailey is practicing for when she gets taller!!

Thanks Emily and Markus for such a fun day!!

5 weeks

He is already 13 lbs! it probably has something to do with him wanting to eat all the time. He still wakes up to eat about every two hours at night but he'll fall right back asleep now which I'm happy about! He is a sweet baby who loves to be snuggled and held. He is so happy in his mommy and daddies arms. He prefers to lay flat on the floor rather than in his bouncy seat or the swing...this only happens when the girls are not around! I almost got him to smile at me tonight. I have been playing peek-a-boo for a week and he has not been impressed. Tonight I saw a quick grin but can't be sure if it was a smile for me! Both of my girls were super smiley and I'm sure he'll be no different.

Fall Festival

We are lucky enough to live in a fantastic community where each fall they host a Fall Festival! There are so many fun things to do and yummy things to eat! Here are some of our favorites!

Everybody loves a good snowcone...right?

Just for the record...I did not make Hailey get on this Bull! It was ALL her idea! She started crying immediately after it started moving. I think that she thought it just went back and forth...she held her own though! I actually had to pry her off because she was holding on so tight!

My sweet Talon Boy!
