Heidi's Birthday Party

My wonderful friend Chablis hosted a birthday party for Heidi last night at her home and we had so much fun! It was a fondue party and everything was so yummy. We started with the heated oil and we cooked marinated steak and chicken and onions. There was also two dipping sauces for the meat...herb butter and honey mustard (both homemade)! There was the yummiest cheese fondue that we dipped sourdough bread, broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots in. We had peppermint shakes with gigantic peppermint candy cane's for an extra touch. We then moved onto dessert, a chocolate fountain and all the delicious dippables! There were strawberries, bananas, pound cake, brownies, pretzels, marshmallows and shortbread cookies. What a fun night with fun friends! Happy Birthday Heidi...I am so thankful for you and all that you are! What a women!

Christmas Excitement

Hailey has been so fun this year as every holiday has been so exciting to her. She has the greatest expressions and the sweetest phrases. As Christmas time is emerging she has been no different! She loves it all and it has been so fun for John and I to give her some new experiences that she really appreciates. After Thanksgiving, John and I helped my mom get out all of her Christmas decorations and attempted to decorate her tree. Hailey loves to put the ornaments as close to each other as possible. She even learned how to tie bows on the tree! I am slightly concerned about my newest little crawler and her attempts at pulling as many ornaments off the tree as possible. Any suggestions?

Izzie Crawls!

My children have both been early in a few developments including sitting up at 4 1/2 months. One thing that they are not so fast at learning is crawling and rolling over. I think that because they are such great sitters, they don't get very much exposure on their backs and tummies therefore they are a little slower navigating the carpet! Here is our little Isabella crawling at 9 1/2 months. She still cannot roll (although she has done it once but not again since).

Hailey is so excited about her sister crawling! Everytime Izzie starts moving Hailey makes me com into the room to check her out. It's so sweet to see her love her so much.
Hailey also had to demonstrate her skill in crawling! Go Hailey!
I hear many moms talk about how they are not looking forward to the crawling of their babies...however; I LOVE IT! I love to see her independence and I love to watch her discover things that she is interested in. She can actually find toys that she thinks are fun and not the ones that I pick out for her and place in front of her. She is certainly so proud of herself too.
