More Hecker's Happenings

 I'm just trying to catch up. I know these last few posts have been LAME...but I am pulling the pregnancy card! Here's a quick run down: Hailey had to have surgery on a wart that had grown on her face in just 2 months. Poor girl. And I have to just say...isn't there a better name for it than wart??? Seriously. We had to drive two hours to the children's hospital in Pittsburg. Hailey was a trooper! It has healed completely now...the plastic surgeon did a great job! No scar at all!

 We went to Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey circus....again! When we took the kids in the Spring, we were pretty sure that it would be awhile before we were able to go again but they came to Erie in October and we took advantage! We had a great night. It was not near as big of a show as it was in Virginia Beach...still 2 hours but they did not have as many big acts and less than half of the circus people. Still a great time!

 The Pre-Show is probably the kids favorite part. You really get to interact with the clowns and animals.

Halloween went by so fast. We enjoyed all of the wonderful activities that come along with it...I just didn't feel well enough to worry about taking pictures. Here's a few that we did capture.

 I told that kids to pick a costume from our dress-up box. I didn't want to spend the money and they didn't seem to mind at all. Hailey is a princess. Talon a monkey. And Isabella is a kitty!

 We let the kids go to the neighbors houses on Halloween. They really enjoyed Trunk-or-Treat at the church.

I am now 17 1/2 weeks pregnant! I'm starting to show and wearing mostly maternity clothes. The best news is that I am finally feeling better (it took until 16 weeks)! I have more energy and can eat most foods. I haven't gained any weight yet and am SO glad. Jill remember our conversation about me being terrified about getting pregnant with the 20 lbs. that I sill had from Talons pregnancy? Good news: it turns out that if you have extra body fat...you don't need more...yet...well...in this situation anyways. I keep holding my breath for the 40 to 50 lbs. that I have gained with all of the others. Really trying to keep it down to 30 lbs. but not so good at that!

A little of our Pennsylvania summer

 When we were packing up for our move to Pennsylvania, we decided to sell all of our beach stuff at a garage sale. I didn't realize that Lake Erie was more of a beach than a lake!! I actually like it better for the beach. It's better for the little kids because there are not big waves and it's shallow for a bit. There were playdates scheduled atleast once a week at the Lake and we tried to go as much as we could.

 There are 11 beaches along this beautiful peninsula. They are all a little bit different and all so beautiful. There are bathrooms and concession stands which make it even more convenient. This is what the peninsula road looks like. Thick trees on both sides...right behind the trees is the water!

 Hailey's first try at Sumo Wrestling! Erie always has some fun things going on. This was a carnival that we went to that was raising money for cancer! We had a great day!
